Race to the Top

An exciting and joyful race between a bunch of friends up the side of a gorgeous cherry blossom mountain! This piece is fan art for the Minecraft server known as Hermitcraft. It features many of its members, including Grian, Smallishbeans, Geminislay, ImpulseSV, Skizzleman, Goodtimeswithscar, and MumboJumbo. I was so excited when the new season started up that I felt inspired to make this artwork. I wanted to really practice environmental art, and play with shapes and colors in environment as easily as I do with drawings of characters. I also really pushed the stylized look of the characters here, creating a soft and squishy, very joyful energy to all of them. And would ya look at that fun perspective! I love this drawing.
